New Directors Elected to OAFE Board
Milton, ON - At the 23rd Annual General Meeting of Ontario Agri-Food Education Inc. (OAFE) held April 10th at the Arboretum, University of Guelph, three new corporate directors and one community director joined the Board of Directors for three year terms.
Leanne Cooley, representing the Poultry Industry Council; Bruce Magee from CropLife, and Audrie Bouwmeester of Dairy Farmers of Ontario, were the successful candidates elected to the corporate positions on the board, while Kelly Duffy of the Globetrotter Group was acclaimed as a Community Director.
Four directors retired from the board this year and were recognized from the podium for their contributions and support over the past three years: Krista Henry, Community Director and Past Chair of the Board; Cindy Lajoie, Syngenta Crop Protection Canada, Inc., Tim Nelson, Past Treasurer representing the Poultry Industry Council and Mayor Ron Eddy, from the Rural Ontario Municipal Association.
Board members returning for 2013-14 include Lorie Jocius, Laura Kozloski and Sharon Grose as Community Directors; Keith Currie, Curriedale Farms; Lynn Fischer, Ontario Dairy Goat Cooperative; Lillie Ann Morris, L.A. Morris & Associates; Perry Wilson, Farm Credit Canada and the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair as Corporate Directors; plus one advisor each from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Ontario Ministry of Education.
